The Rooihuiskrel Judo club teaches the methodical use of balance, flexibility and performing the correct movements with in each skill. The very first technique we teach is how to fall correctly. The Art of Judo has been known to have many health benefits for the mind, body and soul. The Rooihuiskrel Judo club uses the art of Judo to help students with complete mind, body, and Soul transformation, helping students build confidence, self-respect, self-trust and discipline changing the way the student looks at life and all its challenges. Rooihuiskrel Judo Club has seen positive change in students with emotional stress, Learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder as well as ADHD. Our students progress to SA champs

We offer judo lessons to children and adults at recreational and high performance level. Our programmes are designed and supported by highly knowledgeable individuals like Dr Louis Nolte (PhD: Sport Management) and Coach Devon Cook. Our coaches are registered with South Africa's national judo federation, and range from national championship medal winners to international medal winners and Olympic Games participants. We also incorporate self defence skills and lessons, and offer courses from time-to-time. Our classes take place in the evenings Monday to Thursday as well as morning classes on Saturdays. We provide judo classes at various pre-schools and primary schools in Pretoria to prepare younger players to join our more advanced judo training aimed at competitive participation.

Kano Institute of Judo is one of the oldest dojos in the country. Established in 1953 by Sensei Joe Knoester. His two sons Oscar and Carlo have taken the family business to new heights. Both have refereed at the Olympics. Oscar for South Africa and Carlo for Australia. Both have their 6th Dan in Judo. They have both produced many national and international players over the years. Oscar's daughter Skye and Carlo'son Calvin are both international players. Oscar is a national coach and has been doing Judo since 1966. He started coaching under the supervision of Sensei Joe since the age of 14. From the age of 13 till he retired from competition he has always been in the provincial team. He has represented South Africa numerous times in the national team. He has thone of the strongest senior dojos in the country. He coaches children from 3 years of age to masters. We are working to spread the message of Judo For All training in Traditional Kodokan Judo For All ages. The World Judo Federation does not apply Olympic competition rules. Instead, the older Kodokan rules are used, grip on trousers are allowed and more time on groundwork (Newaza) . Kaizen Judo Kwai is a Judo club situated in Germiston, on the East Rand. The club has approximately 100 members of all ages and is affiliated to the Eastern Gauteng Judo Association and Judo South Africa. We train at several schools in the East Rand area: *Laerskool Benbreker *Laerskool Elspark *Dinwiddie Primary School *Hoërskool Brandwag *Rynfield Primary *St. Dunstan's College *Laerskool Concordia. In addition, we train at the main Dojo on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 18: 00 to 19: 30.
