A person answered the phone after a ridiculously long wait to talk with someone regarding changing my name on my Social Security card. I regret not asking for the representative's name since, to my knowledge, I have never dealt with a government agency in such a confrontational manner. When I spoke with the agent on the phone, I am 99% certain that he was intoxicated, high, or both. Slurring his words, pausing awkwardly in the middle of his inquiries, and asking me to repeat facts I had already given him. He finally hung up on me after informing me that there were no open appointments and to call again.
