DAKTARI Bush School & Wildlife Orphanage works in the South African bush to educate local children about the environment and ignite their passion for wildlife. Each week, DAKTARI welcomes eight new students to our camp to attend lessons, do activities, and interact with the animals in our wildlife sanctuary. It is home to more than 40 animals that are unable to survive in the bush. They live out their lives at DAKTARI, acting as animal ambassadors to teach the children. Our work also extends outside of the camp. We host weekly Eco Clubs and wildlife crime campaigns at the local schools to reinforce the education the students receive at DAKTARI. DAKTARI also runs a working experience program for unemployed you to help them find employment.

The South African Association for Marine Biological Research (SeMBR) incorporates uShaka Sea World and the Oceanographic Research Institute. SeMBR fulfils this mission by operating the following divisions: *The Oceanographic Research Institute (ORI) *uShaka Sea World *uShaka Sea World Education Centre.
