The South African Typographical Union was established in 1898 as a National trade Union and has served the Printing Newspaper and Packaging Industry for 120 years with distinction.

The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union [POPCRU] is a trade union organisation in South Africa operating within the South African Police Service [SAPS], the Department of Correctional Services [DCS] and the Traffic component.

The SAOU is a teachers' union, dedicated to the highest universal values and values of service delivery. We are a strong professional body with the power to negotiate salaries and conditions of service with the employer, and to represent members in grievances and disputes. Maintaining sound relations with the employer and other unions is also important to us. SAOU members are provided with, among others, valuable financial services.
