Untwist is a newly established NPO based on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal near Port Shepstone. We base our recovery program on both religious principles and eco therapy guided by the Department of Social Development’s Community Based Substance Abuse Program and the 12 Steps Recovery Program. This is a holistic Program dealing on Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level of addiction. At UNTWIST we do not compromise on recovery . Sacred Journeys offers Living Clean, an intensive 10-day Shamanic Rehabilitation Program designed to deal with the dysfunctional patterns and behaviours of addiction. Just stopping the pattern is not enough. The pain, lack of self-worth, anger, sadness and trauma must be healed. The Shamanic Approach gets underneath the addiction to discover what happened long before the addiction appeared - the underlying cause.
