The SANCB is a network of organisations who collaborate towards securing the full participation and inclusion of blind and partially sighted people in all aspects of a diverse South African society as well as promoting the prevention of blindness.
The South African Mobility for the Blind Trust (SAMBT) specialises in Independence training for blind and partially-sighted people. We were formed in 1998 and are a registered Non-profit Organisation. We have an outreach approach and we operate nationally in areas that are under-served or not served at all, i. e. rural areas and townships. Our programmes are community-based and we also run programmes at schools for the blind.
