The South African Renal Consortium (SARC) was established in 2012 to coordinate and promote the interests of Nephrology, in the private healthcare sector, of South Africa. SARC is supported by Physicians who actively work within the field of Nephrology, and are involved in dialysis provision and transplantation, within the private sector. All South Africans have a right to affordable cost-effective health care and recognizes that rationalisation and managed health care are necessary to realize this goal.
