The Barberspan Bird Sanctuary is a huge 2000 ha water body, located between Delareyville and Sannieshof. Barberspan is also a RAMSAR site registered in terms of Ramsar Convention, on Wetlands of International Importance. Birdlife International has declared Barberspan as an Important Birding Area of International [worldwide] importance, because it provides a refuge for globally threatened bird species. Accommodation is offered in 3 self-catering units. Camping sites are also available.
