Helderberg Farm is a family friendly farm, located just outside of Somerset West. We are open daily from 08: 00 to 17: 00 (Closed on Good Friday & Christmas Day) . We offer a variety of activities such as Hiking Trail, Mountain Biking Trail, 4x4 & Viewpoint Trail, Picnic & Braai Spots, Private Venues for Birthdays / Year End Functions / Family Reunions / Baby Showers / Kitchen Tea's, Wedding Venues, Strawberry Picking (seasonal), Strawberry Plants for Sale, Accommodation in the old Dam Hut, Tea Garden for Coffee & variety of Cakes, Play-Park for toddlers, Animal Farmyard for kids to feed the animals, Nursery, Laser-Tag & Paintball. All permits can be purchased at the Tea Garden between 08: 00 and 17: 00. No permit, no access. For a dinner with a difference, pack a picnic basket, grab a bottle of wine, a blanket and head to the look-out point at Signal Hill. This well known spot in Cape Town is popular with tourists and locals alike as an ideal venue to appreciate the stunning views of the Atlantic Seaboard, and to watch the sunset. Signal Hill used to be used as a post for communication with ships at sea, hence the name Signal Hill. The traditional firing of the noon gun cannon can be viewed Monday to Saturday at the end of Military Road. Get there early to avoid missing out.
