Accommodation comprises 9 marine architect-designed boats manufactured to the highest safety standards. Guests need only bring their clothes, food, and towels. Each boat comprises a fore-cabin with a double bed, a single sleeper couch, and storage space, an inside dining area that converts into a double bed, a well-appointed galley with a gas stove, oven, Bar fridge, and sink, and a small bathroom with a hot shower, chemical toilet, and basin. Take the helm of a self-drive houseboat and navigate the Vaal barrage or cruise along South Africa's most dynamic, permanently navigable inland waterway spanning 55 km.

Must do experience! Driving your own fully equipped houseboat on the Vaal River for 55km. Loads of activities to do on the banks of the river where you can dock your houseboat. Like Emerald resort and casino, bars, restaurants, spas, fishing, birdwatching and watersports!
