ABC Baby Care Training offers comprehensive training courses to nannies / domestics / child minders / in baby and toddler care. Training takes place over 5 Tuesday sessions, 5-5 1 / 2 h per session. Course covers all general care from newborn up to toddler, minor ailments, nutrition, stimulation, milestones, basic first aid, safety, childproof the home, personal hygiene, HIV awareness, and many more. Training is hands-on, fun and includes a lot of practical components. Courses presented by paediatric sister and mother of two, Marlette Visagie and conducted in English and Zulu. On completion each nanny receives a certificate. CPR and First aid courses are also offered to parents and child minders. CPR and First Aid courses will award Discovery Vitality members with 1000 Discovery Miles, for 2 years. New addition to the courses are Infant CPR and choking for expecting or new parents.
