Dementia SA is a South African NPO that assists people who have limited access to private health care, to live with, or care for those with dementia.

Mattanja is a boutique style private, affordable, assisted living home for the elderly; set in the tranquil seaside town of Gansbaai. Our facility focus's on the care for residents with a wide range of conditions related to general frailty as well as residents that may require special focus and care relating to more severe and long term challenges. Mattanja is an intimate and homely home-away-from-home where we encourage our residents to interact and participate in various stimulating activities. At Mattanja we believe that caregiving is a labour of love which requires special people and just the right touch. For us it is a calling and a lifestyle. We fully understand that caring for a relative can be a very stressful experience. When the time comes, our highly trained passionate and professional medical personnel and caregivers are ready to take over this major responsibility; giving not only physical, but also emotional support.
