Makana Investment Corporation (Pty) LTD ('MIC') owns 55% of Makana Exploration and Mining (“MEM”) . MEM was formed to take advantage of prospecting and mining opportunities in the coal mining industry. It has been awarded the prospecting rights on several key properties and is in the process of setting up its mining operations. The balance of the shares in MEM is held by Mnambithi Investments which is an investment vehicle of Mr Vusi Mazibuko. The company targets mining opportunities in South Africa, with a particular interest in Mpumalanga Province. We also have interest in mining opportunities in neighboring countries like Botswana.
