The Jewellery Council of South Africa was created as a jewellery industry representative body in 1973 and has developed from a voluntary organisation to a non-profit company. We have duly constituted Articles of Association and we presently employ 6 employees. Our offices are situated at The Hamlet, 27 Ridge Road, Parktown, Johannesburg. The Council is made up of 3 divisions, each representing a different facet of the industry, namely: *Jewellery Manufacturers *Jewellery Wholesalers *Jewellery Retailers. The Council also represents other bodies that do not fall within the 3 above divisions, such as Mintek and mining houses, De Beers, Anglo American Platinum, Chamber of Mines.
