Why drive for hours snow hunting when you can visit Mont Rochelle - impressive scenery! Hiked up to Breakfast Rock and then on to Uitkyk - the paths are well marked and well maintained.

I wanted to see what the Theewaterskloof Dam looked like since my last visit in May - it was a little river in a Desert. It was looking remarkable well in August with a few desert / beach sections...

I ride this mountain pass on my motorbike every Friday after work to my holiday home. Very popular road on the weekends with bikers when the weather is perfect.

Traveling from the N2 to Franschhoek, the Franschhoek pass is the highest point before entering the lovely town. There are a few safe places to stop your car, and get out of the car, and take it all...

Amazing stunning scenery. Shame about the burn in my thighs as I cycled up there! It's a tough climb but worth it for the views. I will be back!

If you have a car you definitely should go for a drive across the pass. Even if you don't there are hikes possible and you will be rewarded with stunning nature and a completely different landscape.

There's always a welcoming spot for all our customers, the place is alive with laughter and talking and music. Plates, cutlery, and glasses clink, the staff heads down, moving swiftly and in the zone. There's a buzz that's just going off. We're proud of the restaurant we've created and the community of staff and customers who have become good friends. Most of all, we're proud that we can share our passion for great, fine french food with a Welgemoed twist and look forward to seeing you soon.
