SAVED MY NEBORN SON'S LIFE in 1993. TOO MUCH DETAIL BUT HE AND DR L MANNIKAM WERE OUR DREAM TEAM. Dr Botha was not our doc. Attending paed missed a very seriius congenital heart defect. Dr botha noticed Michael in high care and casually came over. Within minutes our baby was in ambulance to durban to be seen by paed cardiologist dr leonard mannikam and he and dr botha arranged a mercy flight to jhb Mornkngside clinic to Drs. Kingsley and Carlson. Within 24 hrs the heart had been operated on. Over the years we had some very close calls and dr Botha was there wirh us all the way. As was dr mannikam. We cannot say enough about this man. He is a brilliant doctor and has wonderful way with children. Forever endebted.
