Located in the heart of South Africa's beautiful Breede Valley wine region, this river camp and conference facility aims to provide you with an unforgettable experience as you enjoy the tranquillity of the river and its surrounding spectacular mountains. We run a full school camp outdoor program as well as hosting Church Camps. We offer Corporate Team Building, Year End Functions and are able to arrange individual programs to meet your specific needs. Maties Canoe Club is one of the oldest in the country with over 45 years in existence. It has helped produce multiple Springbok paddlers and national champions. The clubhouse is at Vredenheim Dam, 5km outside Stellenbosch on the R44 on the way to Spier.
