Summit is owned by the African Business Channel (ABC), the TV and radio wing of BDFM Media (publisher of Business Day and the Financial Mail) . BDFM is a joint venture between Avusa and UK group Pearson, which owns the Financial Times. One of Summit's strengths is its access to the news gathering resources of both these publications.
