The school can accommodate 1 000 students in grades 1 to 6. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum enhanced with a wide range of extracurricular activities, including many sports and practical music programs. Mary Help of Christians is an Independent Archdiocesan school situated in Perl. We serve the communities of Perl and Mbekweni. The school was started in 1963 when the late Cardinal Owen McCann asked the Salesian Sisters to start a school in Perl. For many years the Sisters served the school with immense commitment, but today we have no more sisters at the school. For many years the community thought the school is a Salesian school, because of the presence of the Sisters. The school goes from Grade R to Grade 7. Currently we have 625 learners and a staff of 19 educators and 5 support staff. We have English as medium of instruction and we take part in the Eisteddford and Sport Programme of the Perl schools...
