The Nokeng Tsa Taemane Local Municipality’s area of jurisdiction is located within north eastern Gauteng, and forms part, together with the Kungwini Local Municipality, of the Metsweding District Municipality. The Area includes various communities with different needs and requirements, ranging from urban areas such as Rayton, Cullinan and Refilwe, rural residential areas such as the Roodeplet Area, agricultural land, conservancies, and areas having tourism potential.
