With around 600 growers and a local florist, Multiflora is Africa's largest flower auction house and employs 75 people. They conduct daily auctions, with 80% of the flowers grown within 300km of Johannesburg. The rest comes from other South African regions and countries such as Kenya and Zimbabwe. Around 400 florists and wholesalers attend the auctions from 7am Monday to Friday, distributing flowers nationally and sometimes internationally.
