The company began by selling Grateful Dead related T-shirts and decals to specialty stores in the U. S. under the names Blue Hair Productions and Heart Girl. Business quickly grew into original novelty and licensed rock and roll T-shirt and decal properties that included Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley, Grateful Dead Merchandising, Lava Lamp, and Gibson Guitar, to name a few.
