Woodcliffe Country House is the last inhabited farm before the high Drakensberg. Woodcliffe is a 1000ha beef farm. The guest house takes advantage of the spectacular scenery. Woodcliffe is a self catering destination. Meals can be arranged on request. Guests to Woodcliffe are lovers of the great outdoors. Guests to Woodcliffe can hike, trout fish, swim in pristine mountain rivers and relax in a beautiful environment. A field guide may be arranged in advance to take guests to our bushman paintings and to see the high altitude orchids (Dec - Feb) . Woodcliffe prides itself getting to know their guests so that they leave as friends. Most of your guests return time and time again. Woodcliffe is 22km from Maclear along a gravel road. Guests are advised that a reasonable clearance vehicle is required.

    Nukakamma meaning "grassy water", is the Khoisan name for Sundays River because of its verdant grassy banks. Nukakamma Canoe Trail is a much sought after two day flat-water trail along the Sundays River, which is situated just off the N2 highway some 40kms from Port Elizabeth (a mere half hour's drive) . The Nukakamma Canoe Trail is the only Green Flag Status Canoe Trail in South Africa. The journey begins aboard our 4 metre double canoes with a 13km trip along the Sundays River from our premises to your overnight accommodation and a 13km canoe trip back the following day.
